The WVW, inc. Writers Conference is the premier writing conference for West Virginia and is well-known throughout Appalachia. Held annually at the scenic Cedar Lakes Conference Center in Ripley, WV, we offer 40+ workshops, presentations and panel discussions with talented and well-published presenters. Our workshops include all genres, for all ages, and for beginning to polished writers.

Additionally, each attendee will receive a WVW tote bag full of writing publications, information, and surprises.

FIVE PEOPLE’S CHOICE SESSIONS
Bring your short poetry or prose to read aloud (four minute limit). Those present vote for the best. Winners will be recognized at the Awards Banquet.

WRITER’S WALL
Attendees can bring one anonymous page of poetry or prose to post on the Writer’s Wall. Ballots will be distributed with the registration packet and winners will be recognized at the Awards Banquet.

ENTERTAINMENT
Friday night--members of WVW writers will offer comedy,impromptu events, and readings.
Saturday-- singer/songwriters Pops Walker and Kypn Martin will delight everyone with their soulful, uplifting music.

AWARDS BANQUET
Saturday evening’s banquet is where the winners of WV Writers annual Writing Contest are announced.

SILENT AUCTION
An eclectic mix of autographed books, writing magazines, gift certificates, White Elephants and much more will be sold to the highest bidder.
